WEEK TWO

Ahoj!  We left for the mission field on Friday, the 16th and after several flight delays a 15-hour trip turned into a 30 hour marathon.   We finally arrived in Prague by way of Warsaw, Poland (that's a story for another day) and fell into bed exhausted.  During that 30 hours our feet literally touched the ground in 4 different countries. Elder Skousen, from the mission office, and the Assistants, Elders Wagner and Montenegro hefted our 7 bags of luggage to the 4th floor of our temporary home for the next 48 hours.

The next morning we were able to attend Sacrament Meeting in the Prague First Ward.  What a wonderful experience!  So many different cultures represented in that meeting and so interesting to hear the Sacrament Meeting talk's translated into several different languages.

Later in the day, Elder and Sister Skousen and their daughter Jenny took us for a walking tour of Old Town Prague.  We have always heard that Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and now we agree!  It was amazing.

We now prepare for tomorrow's 9 hour train ride from Prague to Prešov, Slovakia. We feel so blessed to be serving in one of the most beautiful places in the world.  We hope you have a wonderful week and we love you!

  1. Dear Marilyn, thank you for the update and pictures. I am glad you made. Traveling is not very pleasurable anymore, for it seems that the airlines are not sensitive to schedules. Cheering you on!
